We provide repair and refinishing for worn stone, including honing, polishing, and correction of scratches and etch marks. We also treat stains and repair chips when the material and damage allow.

Refresh Worn Marble & Natural Stone
Not every mark on stone is the same. A stain is absorbed discoloration, so the right treatment depends on what caused it and how deeply it entered the stone. An etch is different because it comes from a chemical reaction at the surface, and it is usually addressed through refinishing steps such as honing and polishing. For example, marble floor polishing can refine a dull or worn finish. Countertop etch correction, stain removal, chip repair, and scratch removal address different types of surface damage.
Honing uses abrasives to create a smooth matte or satin finish, while polishing refines the surface toward a higher sheen. An impregnating sealer may help reduce absorption and improve stain resistance, but it does not stop etching, scratches, wear, or every stain, and some stones may not need sealing at all.
