Proudly Family Owned Since 1985
We help homeowners and businesses in Longboat Key restore their natural stone. At Fabrizio & Sons, we’re a family-owned business with a history in stone restoration dating back to 1985.
We work on marble, granite, travertine, and limestone floors, countertops, and other installed stone throughout your property. We restore surfaces affected by everyday wear, from scratched floors to etched countertops. Our services include targeted repairs, stain treatment, honing, polishing, and sealing where appropriate.
We look at the material, visible damage, and desired finish so our restoration plan fits the needs of your stone. We also prepare the work area and protect nearby surfaces before restoration starts. We want you to understand the proposed work and what it can achieve, so you can decide how best to care for the stone in your home or business.
Refresh Worn Marble & Natural Stone
The right treatment depends on the condition of the stone. A stain is absorbed discoloration, so the source and depth of the spill matter. An etch is different because it is surface damage caused by a chemical reaction, and it is usually addressed through refinishing methods such as honing and polishing. For example, marble floor polishing can refine a dull or worn finish. Countertop etch correction, stain removal, chip repair, and scratch removal address different types of surface damage.
Honing uses abrasives to create a smooth matte or satin finish, while polishing refines the surface toward a higher sheen. An impregnating sealer may help reduce absorption and improve stain resistance, but it does not prevent etching, scratches, wear, or every stain, and some stones may not need sealing at all.

Careful Craftsmanship for Every Stone Surface
If your stone looks tired, chipped, marked, or uneven in finish, an assessment can show whether restoration is practical. It also helps identify surface-level problems, deeper damage, and any limits that may affect the result.
For Longboat Key homeowners and property managers, that evaluation can clarify whether the stone is a good candidate for restoration or whether replacement is the more practical path. Request an assessment from Fabrizio & Sons to help decide the next step.
