Proudly Family Owned Since 1985
At Fabrizio & Sons, we’re a family-owned stone restoration business established in 1985. We work with homeowners and businesses in Davenport to improve the condition of their natural stone.
From floors and countertops to shower walls, we restore marble, granite, travertine, limestone, and other natural stone. We help with scratches, dull patches, etch marks, stains, and damaged edges. We can recommend honing or polishing for the desired finish, with sealing considered where appropriate.
We look at the material, visible damage, and desired finish so our restoration plan fits the needs of your stone. We take care with the surrounding space as we prepare for repairs and refinishing. Our goal is to help you retain the natural stone you already have when restoration is a suitable option, with clear expectations for the finish.
Refresh Worn Marble & Natural Stone
The right treatment depends on the condition of the stone. A stain is absorbed discoloration, so the source matters before removal methods are chosen. An etch is different: it is surface damage caused by a chemical reaction, and it is usually addressed through refinishing rather than stain removal. For example, marble floor polishing can refine a dull or worn finish. Countertop etch correction, stain removal, chip repair, and scratch removal address different types of surface damage.
Honing uses abrasives to create a smooth matte or satin finish, while polishing refines the surface toward a higher sheen. An impregnating sealer may reduce absorption and improve stain resistance, but it does not prevent etching, scratches, wear, or every stain, and some stones may not need sealing at all.

Careful Craftsmanship for Every Stone Surface
If a Davenport surface is scratched, dulled, etched, or otherwise worn, an assessment can help show whether the damage is mostly on the surface or whether deeper issues limit what restoration can achieve. That evaluation also helps determine whether restoration is a practical choice compared with replacement.
For marble in particular, the condition of the stone, the extent of damage, and the desired finish all matter. If you are weighing your options for a countertop, floor, or vanity, contact Fabrizio & Sons to review the surface and discuss the next step.
